Hawthorn Cottage is committed to providing accurate and detailed accessibility information to help all guests plan their stay effectively.
Parking:
Parking is provided at the front of the building approximately 15 meters away from the front entrance. The parking area is gravel which leads to a paved area on the same level at the front and side of the cottage.

Exterior Access:
There is a small step approximately 3cm high leading to the main entrance.

Entrances:
There is a standard UPVC double glazed door at the main entrance. The step/threshold is approximately 10cm high and the width of the front door is ………….The doors are not fitted with self closures.

Interior Access:
The ground floor is all on one level, the door widths are …………...

Specific Areas:
The staircase to the first floor is ……… wide and is fairly steep with a handrail to the right hand side.
The light switches in all areas are set to a standard height of approximately 140cm from the floor.

Bedrooms:
The two main bedrooms have king size beds which can be split into twins. There are standard wardrobes in both rooms with no low rails. The second large bedroom has a step of approximately 10cm down into the room.

Bathrooms:
The bath and showers all require to be stepped into with no hand rails or shower seats. There is a WC on the ground floor.

Kitchen:
The kitchen work surfaces are set to a standard height ………… as is the sink and all other kitchen facilities.

Garden:
Access to the garden is through the rear door which is UPVC and has a raised threshold of approximately 5cm. There is a pathway …….cm wide which leads to a grass slope leading to the raised patio area accessed by two steps approximately 1 meter wide. The games room has one step approximately 10cm high and a threshold bar approximately 5cm high. The garden den is accessed by two steps going up into the room approximately 15cm high.
